Description

The TriggerTech Special is a drop-in replacement trigger for Tikka T3, T3x, and T1x rifles, aimed at hunters and precision shooters who want a cleaner break than the factory unit without sending the action to a gunsmith. It installs without modification and is handed for left-side operation, which matters on a platform where the bolt handle and safety are already mirrored — a left-hand trigger keeps the geometry consistent rather than forcing a compromise.

The pull weight adjusts across a 1.0–3.5 lb range, which is wide enough to cover a light bench setting at the low end and a field-safe weight for hunting at the high end, all from the same unit. The mechanism is built around TriggerTech’s Zero Creep Technology, which achieves a true zero-creep break by using a roller-assisted cam rather than relying on the surface finish of the engagement surfaces. Because the geometry does the work instead of a polished sear edge, the feel stays consistent even as round count accumulates and lubricants thin out in cold weather.
