Description
The Troy M7A1 PDW Stock Kit is built for shooters who need to trim the overall length of a direct-impingement AR-15 without sacrificing a full range of length-of-pull adjustment. Where a conventional collapsible stock still leaves a carbine at a fixed minimum length, this kit integrates a proprietary spring and bolt carrier system that allows the stock to retract further than a standard mil-spec tube arrangement, cutting roughly three inches off the collapsed profile of a traditional carbine setup. That reduction matters in confined environments where maneuvering a full-length carbine becomes a liability.
The mechanism works through paired internal rods rather than a conventional buffer tube, which keeps the operating controls of the rifle fully accessible even when the stock is fully collapsed. A lever on the underside releases the stock, and it extends in a single smooth stroke through six positions of adjustment—enough range to fit a wide variety of shooters or accommodate different gear and clothing. The heavy-duty latch assembly holds each position without the slop common to worn mil-spec stocks. Built-in sling mounts are integrated directly into the stock body, removing the need to add separate hardware for a two-point carry setup. The kit is compatible with direct-impingement AR-15, M4, and M16 platforms chambered in 5.56, and it also runs reliably with 300 Blackout. It will not work with piston-driven uppers. Finished in black, the kit ships with all components needed for installation.
