The tailcap’s lateral USB-C port is reversible, which means the cable seats in either orientation without fumbling, and the port rotates to suit different mounting geometries — useful when a weapon light sits under a handguard rail or when the switch needs to run a specific direction for a clean cable path. A metal cage surrounds the connection point to prevent inadvertent disconnection under recoil or during rough handling.
