Description
The Unity Tactical ModButton Lite is a remote weapon light switch built for shooters who need reliable momentary activation without adding unnecessary bulk to their setup. It sits in the same product family as the original ModButton but drops the integrated mount, resulting in a lighter, lower-profile package that works well when rail space or weight is a concern.
Where older switch designs become a bottleneck for current high-output lights, the ModButton Lite uses an updated plug and improved internal electronics specifically to avoid that problem. Legacy switches can reduce output on demanding lights like Modlite by roughly 15–20% by failing to pass sufficient current. The ModButton Lite is engineered to deliver full power, so the light head runs at its rated output rather than a throttled version of it.
The Surefire-compatible cable plug means this switch works with Surefire Scout bodies, Arisaka Scout bodies, Modlite Scout bodies, and Surefire UE and DS00 tail caps. The 4.5-inch cable length is generally sufficient to route from a top rail position to the light body on most standard rifle setups. Activation is momentary-only; if constant-on operation is required, pairing this switch with a Surefire DS00 tail cap provides that capability. The package includes the switch, Picatinny rail grabber, and mounting hardware — no tail cap is included. Mounting can be configured on either the left or right side of the rail. The switch is made in the USA and weighs 1.8 oz complete.
