Walker’s Low Profile Folding Muff is a passive hearing protector built for shooters who want reliable noise reduction without the weight and bulk of a full-size muff. The design suits range work, competitive shooting, and hunting situations where you need protection that stores flat and travels without taking up much space in a bag.

The cups are contoured to sit low against the sides of the head, which matters when you are mounting a rifle — a tall cup can break your cheek weld and shift your sight picture. Keeping the profile close to the skull avoids that interference and makes these usable with most standard rifle stocks. The folding mechanism collapses the ear cups inward, reducing the assembled unit to a size that fits in a jacket pocket or a small pouch.

With a noise reduction rating of 31 dB, these muffs attenuate enough sound to be useful at an indoor range or alongside heavy-caliber rifle fire, where sustained exposure without protection would cause lasting damage. Passive protection at this rating works by sealing around the ear with soft PVC pads and using the cup volume and shell material to absorb and block sound waves — there are no batteries to go dead and no electronics to malfunction. The padded headband distributes clamping force across the crown of the head, which reduces fatigue during longer sessions. The grey finish is Walker’s own colorway for this model.
