Description

The Wilson Combat NULA Model 20 is built for the hunter who counts every ounce on the approach but refuses to compromise on precision when it matters. This is a mountain rifle, a backcountry rifle — something you carry all day and then actually shoot well when the moment comes.

The receiver and bolt are machined from 4140 and 4340 bar stock respectively, then finished in Armor-Tuff and Nickel Boron coatings to handle weather without fuss. The barrel is button-rifled 416R stainless steel, honed and double stress-relieved — a process that removes the internal tension introduced during rifling and contributes directly to the sub-MOA accuracy guarantee Wilson Combat backs this rifle with. A 1-in-9 twist rate in 7mm-08 is well suited to the range of bullet weights this cartridge is typically loaded with, from lighter deer bullets up through heavier high-BC projectiles that handloaders favor for longer work. The oversized magazine box gives handloaders additional overall-cartridge-length headroom to seat those longer, heavier bullets without jamming into the lands.

The barrel is threaded 5/8×24 and ships with a nitride-coated thread protector, leaving the door open for a suppressor or muzzle brake. The Kodiak Rogue carbon fiber stock from AG Composites is patterned for forested environments and keeps the rifle’s weight down while the Pachmayr 1-inch Decelerator pad manages felt recoil — meaningful on an ultralight platform. The Timney Elite Hunter trigger is adjustable and the safety, when engaged, locks the bolt closed rather than just blocking the trigger, which matters on a rifle carried with a round chambered in rough terrain.
