Description

The Rogers Super-Stoc is a drop-in carbine buttstock designed for shooters who want a collapsible stock that behaves like a fixed one. The central problem with most collapsible stocks is that they rely on a spring-loaded detent that allows measurable movement between the stock and the buffer tube — movement that compounds into inconsistent cheek weld and felt instability during rapid fire. The Super-Stoc addresses this with a cam-lock mechanism developed by Bill Rogers: once you’ve set your preferred length of pull, pushing the cam-lock lever upward preloads the stock against the tube and removes that play entirely. The result is a locked position that holds its geometry the same way a fixed stock does, without permanently sacrificing adjustability.

Releasing the position is equally deliberate — pressing the quick-release lever simultaneously disengages both the detent pin and the cam-lock, so repositioning requires one intentional action rather than an accidental bump. The stock is compatible with both Mil-Spec and commercial buffer tubes, with minor adjustment required depending on which diameter you’re running, so it fits onto most existing AR-platform lower assemblies without sourcing a specific tube. At 7.3 ounces, it adds negligible weight, and it has been drop-tested fully loaded from 36 inches. This is a practical upgrade for a carbine used under conditions where a standard collapsible stock’s inherent slop would translate into shot-to-shot inconsistency.
