Description

The Wilson Combat Tactical Trigger Unit M2 is a drop-in two-stage trigger built for AR-platform rifles where a predictable, consistent pull matters more than chasing the lightest possible weight. Two-stage designs suit shooters who want a clear distinction between taking up slack and breaking the shot — the first stage lets you pre-load the trigger under pressure without committing, while the second stage delivers the actual break. That separation is particularly useful for precision work at distance or any situation requiring deliberate shot placement.

Wilson Combat machines the trigger, hammer, and sear from H13 tool steel, then treats the components with a dry film lubricant finish. H13 is a hot-work die steel chosen for its hardness and resistance to wear under repeated cycling, so the geometry that controls sear engagement stays consistent over a high round count. The housing arrives pre-assembled and CNC machined for drop-in installation — no fitting, no adjustment screws, no guesswork at the bench.

The reduced reset shortens the distance the trigger must travel forward before it resets, which tightens the gap between shots when speed matters. A 1911-style half-cock notch on the hammer provides a mechanical drop-safety function, meaning the rifle meets or exceeds standard drop-safety criteria without depending on a separate blocking mechanism. The hammer geometry is designed to strike reliably with military-specification and surplus ammunition, which tends to have harder primers than commercial match brass.

Note that rifles using a firing pin safety in the bolt carrier — such as the HK MR556 — are specifically compatible with this two-stage model.
