Description

The sRx Short Muzzle Brake is built for shooters who run a suppressor regularly and want a mounting interface that stays clean, stays consistent, and adds as little bulk as possible to the host rifle. It is machined from 4140 steel and finished in Black Oxide, giving it the durability to hold up under sustained use without adding unnecessary mass to the front end of the build.

The core of this brake’s design is the sRx mounting system, which uses a large internal taper ahead of the barrel threads. That taper does two things: it seats the mating sRx Adapter with consistent alignment every time the suppressor goes on, eliminating the need to shim or time the brake to the barrel, and it creates a seal that keeps carbon and gas from working their way into the threaded interface. Fouled threads are a common frustration with frequently mounted and removed suppressors, and the taper seal addresses that directly.

At 1.6875 inches long and 0.75 inches in diameter, the brake keeps the overall muzzle profile compact. On a barrel with standard thread exposure, it adds roughly 1.675 inches of length — modest for a dedicated suppressor mount. The 5/8″-24 thread pattern suits .308 and 7.62 NATO host rifles. This brake must be paired with the YHM sRx Adapter (YHM-4400) to use the quick-detach function; without the adapter it functions as a fixed muzzle device only. No moving parts means there is nothing to wear out or lose in the field.
