Description

The YHM sRx Short Flash Hider is a muzzle device built around YHM’s sRx quick-detach mounting system, and it suits shooters who run a suppressor across multiple host firearms and want a low-profile, snag-free solution at each muzzle. The core idea behind the sRx system is that this flash hider threads onto the barrel at 1/2″-28 and serves as a permanent interface point. When paired with the sRx Hub Adapter (YHM-4400, sold separately), it locks to the adapter via an internal taper — a geometry that handles both indexing and gas sealing in a single motion, without the springs, levers, or detent pins that characterize other quick-detach designs.

That internal taper does meaningful work. It creates a consistent seat every time the suppressor is mounted, so there is no need to time or shim the device to the barrel. The taper also traps carbon forward of the barrel threads, keeping the mating surfaces cleaner over extended use. Because there are no moving locking components, there is less to wear out or fail under heat and fouling cycles.

The device is machined from 4140 steel and finished in Black Phosphate, which offers corrosion resistance suited to a component that lives near the muzzle. At 1.8125 inches in overall length, it adds a modest footprint to the muzzle end, and at 1.504 oz. it contributes little to the balance of the host rifle. This is a purpose-built component — its value is fully realized only within the sRx ecosystem, not as a standalone flash hider — but within that system it handles the attachment problem with fewer mechanical compromises than traditional collar-and-detent arrangements.
