Description

The Bad Larry is built for shooters working with large-bore, long-range cartridges — big game hunters pushing past 500 yards, precision competitors running .338 Lapua Magnum, and anyone who needs serious sound reduction without giving up a platform’s inherent ballistic reach. It handles a broad range of calibers beyond its rated bore, including 8.6 BLK, .300 Winchester Magnum, .308 Winchester, and 5.56 NATO, which means one suppressor can move between hosts rather than sitting dedicated to a single rifle.

Construction uses heat-treated 17-4 PH stainless steel paired with a Cobalt 6 blast baffle. That combination addresses the punishment that high-pressure magnum rounds deliver at the first baffle — the point of highest thermal and mechanical stress — while keeping the rest of the tube in a corrosion-resistant alloy suited to field conditions. The result is a suppressor rated for sustained full-auto fire, so semi-auto magnum use is well within its operating envelope.

Mounting is built around YHM’s 1 3/8″-24 HUB thread interface, which makes the Bad Larry compatible with the full range of YHM HUB accessories. It ships with a 5/8″-24 direct thread adapter and two suppressor wrenches, so it installs on the most common large-bore muzzle thread pattern without additional hardware. The Phantom and sRx quick-detach systems with 5/8″-24 threads are compatible; the older 3702 and 3802 series mounts are not. Measured suppression sits at 136 dB, and at 17 ounces the can adds manageable weight to a precision rifle that is already on the heavier end of the spectrum.
