Description

The Yankee Hill Machine Fat Cat is built for shooters who want a genuinely short suppressor without sacrificing the internal volume that keeps muzzle report manageable. Most compact cans shrink diameter along with length, which compresses the expansion chamber and drives tone higher. The Fat Cat takes the opposite approach: its 1.94-inch body diameter is deliberately generous, so the gas has room to slow and cool before it exits, producing a lower, heavier tone than a narrower tube of comparable length would allow.

The suppressor ships ready to run. Included in the box is an sRx Quick-Detach HUB adapter and a Mini sRx muzzle brake, so you have everything needed for a modern 1.375×24 QD mount path out of the package. The sRx system lets you attach and remove the can without tools and returns to a consistent position each time, which matters if you zero your optic with the suppressor installed. With the adapter seated, overall length is 4.5 inches — notably shorter than YHM’s own Turbo K with its adapter fitted, which is a meaningful difference on a short-barreled host where muzzle-heavy balance compounds quickly.

Construction is 17-4 stainless steel throughout, with a Cobalt 6 alloy blast baffle at the chamber end where heat and pressure are highest. That combination is what allows a full-auto rating: the materials hold up under sustained heat cycles that would compromise softer alloys. A minimum barrel length of 10 inches applies for 5.56 NATO use. The finish is Cerakote, which resists the high-cycle heat that bare metal or paint would not. Two endcap options exist — standard and the Cat’s Ass variant — so there is some configuration flexibility at the muzzle end.
