Description
The Turbo Suppressed Upper Receiver Group is built for shooters who want a compact, purpose-integrated suppressed 5.56 platform without stacking separate components onto a standard barrel. Rather than threading a suppressor over a full-length barrel, the Turbo S.U.R.G. permanently pins and welds the Turbo suppressor to a 10.5-inch barrel, producing a combined assembly just over 16 inches long. That construction collapses what would otherwise be two separate items into a single integrated unit, and the result is a noticeably shorter overall rifle profile than a conventionally suppressed build achieving the same legal barrel length.
The barrel is constructed from 17-4 PH stainless steel paired with a Cobalt 6 lining. Stainless construction in this application provides corrosion resistance well suited to the heat cycles and carbon exposure that suppressed shooting generates. The integrated Turbo suppressor is rated at 134 dB on 5.56, which brings the report to a meaningfully reduced level for an unsuppressed-host cartridge — 5.56 is loud and high-pressure by nature, and 134 dB represents genuine attenuation without the added bulk of a detachable can. The specially designed suppressor gas block works to reduce blowback and moderate cyclic rate, two common complaints on short-barrel suppressed 5.56 builds where gas timing and port pressure tend to run aggressive.
The package includes YHM’s MR7 M-LOK handguard, a Mil-Spec flat-top A3 upper receiver, and a black plated gas tube. The upper ships without a bolt carrier group or charging handle, so it pairs directly with components you already own. At 3.6 pounds, the assembly adds minimal weight to a complete build. This upper suits shooters prioritizing a purpose-built suppressed 5.56 configuration over a modular, swappable suppressor setup.
