Description

The R45 is Yankee Hill Machine’s answer to a single suppressor that works across a genuinely broad range of host firearms. Rather than optimizing for one caliber or one platform, it is built to handle everything from rimfire cartridges up through .45-70 Government, which means a shooter with a mixed battery of pistols and rifles can run one suppressor across all of them with the right mounting hardware.

The foundation of that flexibility is the 1-3/8″x24 HUB interface. Where a traditional direct-thread suppressor is locked to whatever thread pitch it ships with, the HUB system accepts the full range of YHM’s mounting options — direct thread adapters in various thread pitches, quick-detach mounts, and Nielsen pistons for semi-automatic pistols. The R45 ships ready to run on a 5/8″x24 host, but reconfiguring it for a different host is a matter of swapping the mount rather than buying a new can.

Construction is heat-treated 17-4 PH stainless steel throughout. That grade of stainless is chosen for its combination of hardness and corrosion resistance — it holds up to the pressure and temperature cycles that come with sustained fire in a way that softer alloys do not. The finish is Matte Black Cerakote, which adds a layer of thermal and chemical resistance on top of the steel’s own properties. Full-auto use is rated as limited rather than unlimited, so sustained automatic fire is a consideration when planning host firearm pairings. The suppressor ships with two wrenches alongside the direct thread HUB adapter, so everything needed to mount and remove it is in the box.
