Description

The YHM-227A is a straightforward solution for shooters who need to bring an optic up to a more usable height on a flat-top AR or any other Picatinny-railed platform. Its half-inch rise is enough to move a low-mounted red dot, reflex sight, or compact scope up to a cheek-weld-friendly position without requiring a riser so tall that it compromises a natural sight picture. That same half-inch increment is also what separates a standard absolute co-witness height from a lower-third co-witness on many builds, so the mount gives you a practical way to dial in that relationship without swapping rings or bases.

At just over five inches long, the platform is wide enough to seat a magnifier alongside a red dot, which matters if you plan to run a flip-to-side magnifier and want both units on a single stable base rather than split across separate mounts. The body is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished in a hard-coat anodize to military specification, so the surface is dense enough to resist the kind of handling wear and solvent exposure that comes with regular range use. The hard-coat also keeps the finish consistent with most mil-spec upper receivers, which matters on builds where visual uniformity is a priority.
