The 40-inch front section is designed to be trimmed to the user’s body rather than folded or bunched, which keeps the webbing clean and removes material that would otherwise catch on gear or door frames. The 20-inch rear section handles fine adjustment on the fly, letting you open the sling to transition the rifle to your back or cinch it down when you need the carbine tight against your body.
