Description

The Yankee Hill Machine Flip Front Sight Tower with Bayonet Lug is built for AR-platform shooters who run an optic as their primary sighting system but want a capable iron-sight backup without the bulk of a fixed front sight tower blocking their field of view. When the sight is folded flat, it sits low and out of the way; a single button press sends it up, where it locks firmly in the deployed position. That positive lock matters in a backup role — you need confidence the post is exactly where it should be when you reach for it.

The base is all-steel construction, which contributes to the durability of the mount without introducing the flex that can affect zero retention over time. The two-piece design is deliberate: it allows installation on barrels where the muzzle device is already pinned and welded, a situation that would otherwise force the removal of the accessory before the gas block could be slid on. Four socket head cap screws clamp the assembly to the barrel, and the bore diameter is sized for standard .750-inch barrel profiles at the gas block seat.

The gas port measures 0.125 inches, matched to typical carbine-length AR specifications. The sight accepts standard AR-pattern front sight posts and adjustment hardware, which ships included, and the elevation adjustability is 1/2 MOA per click — fine enough for precise zeroing at distance. The tower height is designed to co-witness with a standard AR rear sight when used with a flat-top upper, so your iron and optic zero share the same axis.
