The Reptilia AUS mount is designed for shooters who want a solid, repeatable optic platform on a Picatinny-railed host without the bulk and snag points that come with traditional ring-and-base setups. It suits competition shooters, serious trainers, and anyone who regularly mounts and dismounts optics and needs consistent return-to-zero when they do.

The mount is machined from billet 7075-T6 aluminum, which keeps weight down without sacrificing the rigidity needed to hold zero under sustained use. The exterior carries a MIL-STD Type III, Class 2 hard anodize in Flat Dark Earth — a finish hard enough to resist the kind of contact wear that accumulates from regular range handling, and one that matches FDE-finished receivers and handguards without requiring a paint touch-up.

Attachment to the M1913 Picatinny rail uses an anti-snag spring-loaded clamp paired with a custom bolt system. The spring-loaded design means the clamp stays clear of the rail until you’re ready to seat it, which reduces fumbling during installation and keeps the exterior profile free of protruding hardware that can catch on gear. Once torqued down, the interface with the rail is direct and repeatable — there’s no separate base to introduce additional flex between the optic and the receiver.

The 1.54-inch bore height positions the centerline of a 30mm optic tube at a height suited to co-witnessing with standard-height iron sights on most AR-pattern rifles, and it accommodates the objective bell clearance that larger tactical optics require without forcing a riser.
