Description

The Safariland Species is an inside-the-waistband holster built around a minimalist philosophy: carry a full-size pistol without the bulk that typically comes with it. It fits the Glock 19 and is intended for concealed everyday carry, where profile and comfort matter as much as retention.

The shell is constructed from SafariLaminate, Safariland’s own layered material that combines the rigidity needed for reliable one-handed holstering with a Cordura finish on the exterior. That pairing keeps the holster from collapsing after the draw — a common failure point in softer IWB designs — while reducing the abrasive wear against clothing and skin that harder polymer surfaces can cause with extended carry.

Retention is user-adjustable through a tension system, which lets the carrier dial in the amount of resistance at the draw to suit their preference and clothing conditions. The holster mounts to belts up to 1.5 inches wide via a belt clip, and it is cut for right-hand draw.
