Description

The American Defense AD-B2M is a cantilever quick-detach mount built specifically for mini prism optics — compact fixed-power scopes like the Trijicon Mini-ACOG and similar short-body prism sights — on rifles running a standard M1913 Picatinny rail. It solves a practical problem: mini prism optics sit low and far forward on a flat-top upper, which often forces the shooter to move their head into an awkward position or remove a rear iron sight entirely. The cantilever design shifts the optic rearward by three-quarters of an inch and lifts it to a 1.64-inch optical centerline height, bringing the sight picture to the shooter’s eye rather than requiring the shooter to reach forward to find it, while still leaving the rear iron sight in place and usable.

The QD lever uses American Defense’s patented Auto Lock system, which lets the mount come off and go back on a rail without tools and without losing zero, provided it’s returned to the same rail position. The lever itself can be configured to close toward the front or the rear of the receiver, which matters if other accessories are competing for space on the rail. At two ounces, the mount adds minimal weight — meaningful when the whole point of a mini prism is to keep the package compact. The body is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished in a MIL-SPEC hardcoat anodize, which provides corrosion resistance and a surface that holds up to field use without adding bulk. This mount is not compatible with full-size ACOG models or standard-footprint prism scopes; it is sized and spaced for the Mini-ACOG form factor and comparably dimensioned optics.
