Description

The AD-DELTA-C is a cantilever scope mount built for mounting high-magnification optics on flat-top AR-15 and AR-10 platforms, as well as SCAR-pattern rifles. The cantilever geometry shifts the scope forward by two inches relative to a conventional ring placement, which recovers eye relief that a full-length optic would otherwise lose when pushed back against the receiver. That offset is machined in — there is nothing to adjust, drift, or torque separately, which keeps the setup repeatable every time the mount comes off and goes back on.

The mount is skeletonised compared to American Defense’s AD-RECON cantilever, with material removed from sections that are not in the load path. That keeps weight down without touching the stiffness of the ring seats or the clamp interface. Construction is 6061-T6 aluminum throughout, finished in hard coat T3 Mil-Spec anodize for corrosion and abrasion resistance. The rings split horizontally, so the scope drops straight in rather than rolling into position, and tightening is even across both halves.

Attachment is handled by American Defense’s patented QD Auto Lock lever system. The lever self-adjusts to accommodate dimensional variation across Picatinny 1913 rails — both in-spec and out-of-spec surfaces — without tools and without changing any settings between host rifles. Because the adjustment is automatic rather than manually indexed, return-to-zero is consistent across dismounts. The centerline sits 1.5 inches above the top rail, which clears standard AR iron sights and keeps the shooter’s cheek weld on a flat-top lower without requiring a raised cheek piece.
