Description

The American Defense Manufacturing AD-Recon is a quick-detach scope mount built for shooters who need to pull their optic off the rifle and return it to zero without re-zeroing every time. The practical cases are real: storing a rifle with the scope off, swapping optics between platforms, or field-stripping for transport. The ability to do that reliably depends entirely on how consistently the mount re-indexes to the rail, and ADM addresses that through their patented QD Auto Lock lever system, which clamps to the Picatinny rail without requiring any tools — just the lever itself or a flat-blade screwdriver if preferred.

The mount is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished with a hard-coat anodize, which keeps weight reasonable while providing a surface that holds up to regular handling and environmental exposure. The 20 MOA cant built into the base offsets the optical axis relative to the bore, giving your turrets more room to work when shooting at extended distances — instead of dialing most of your elevation adjustment just to get on paper, you start with that offset already accounted for, preserving more of your usable turret range for actual holds downrange. This is most relevant on bolt guns or semi-automatic precision rifles where the shooter is regularly engaging targets past 500 yards.

The 30mm ring diameter matches the tube size of a broad range of modern rifle scopes, and the standard lever configuration keeps the profile clean along the receiver without the extended-reach geometry of the tactical lever variant. Ring height at center is 1.470 inches, which clears most standard AR-pattern upper receivers and bolt-action receivers with enough room to avoid cheek-weld compromises with scopes in the common objective size range.
