Description

The American Defense Manufacturing AD-68-L-STD is a quick-detach cantilever mount built for shooters who run 30mm red dots like the Aimpoint PRO, CompM2, or M68 on a standard Picatinny rail and need a reliable way to dismount and return to zero without tools or guesswork. The low-profile configuration centers the optic 1.10 inches above the rail surface, which suits rifles with raised rails or lower stock combs where a taller mount would push the sight picture uncomfortably high.

The mount is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished in a hardcoat anodize, both of which contribute to a 3-ounce weight that adds little to the overall build. The cantilever design offsets the optic forward along the rail, giving the shooter more flexibility in eye relief and head position without sacrificing a stable, repeatable seating point.

The Standard QD lever is ADM’s non-tactical-profile locking mechanism. It clamps to the rail through the company’s Auto Lock system, which can be adjusted by hand to fit most Picatinny rail cross-sections and then locks positively without requiring further tools. The practical value here is return-to-zero: the mount can be removed, the optic swapped or stored, and reinstalled with confidence that the zero is preserved. The lever is glove-friendly by design, which matters when the mount needs to come off under field conditions rather than at the bench.
