Description

The American Defense Manufacturing AD-170-VPG Picatinny Riser is built for shooters who need to raise their optic above the mounting surface without sacrificing the ability to remove and reinstall it quickly. The 0.60-inch rise it provides brings a red dot or other compact optic up to a more natural cheek-weld height on rifles and carbines where the standard rail position sits too low for comfortable heads-up shooting. That extra height is a genuine ergonomic change, not a cosmetic one — it keeps your head upright rather than forcing you to crane down into the stock.

The mount is machined from 6061 T6 aluminum and finished with a hard coat T3 Mil-Spec anodize, which gives it the corrosion resistance needed for field use without adding significant weight. It attaches to any Picatinny rail using ADM’s patented QD Auto Lock Lever, a system designed to let you remove and reinstall the mount without tools while returning to the same zero each time. The lever mechanism accommodates both in-spec and out-of-spec rail systems, which matters on older or budget-built platforms where rail dimensions are less consistent. The 5-lug designation refers to compatibility with ADM’s VPG bolt-on rail system — specifically the five-lug variant — so it accepts any VPG optic rail in that configuration as well as the standard three-lug format.
