Description
The Arisaka Defense 18650 Series Light Body is built for shooters running a SureFire Scout Light M600DF who want to shed the bulk of the factory housing and gain meaningful real estate on a short handguard. The critical design departure from the stock Scout body is the removal of the integrated Picatinny clamp mounting interface. That omission is deliberate: without the clamp protruding from the underside, the body clears the front sight on handguards where a 45-degree mount surface sits adjacent to the top rail — a geometry that frustrates most standard light setups. The mounting holes and square lug interface are retained on the underside, so the body works with any aftermarket Scout mount without modification.
Compatibility runs across a practical range of heads and tailcaps. On the head side, it accepts the Malkoff E2XTL, Modlite OKW and PLHv2, and SureFire M600DF, M640DF, and M640DFT Turbo. Tailcap options include the Arisaka Momentary and SureFire UE, DS, and Z68 Clicky. That flexibility lets you assemble a purpose-configured light around whatever output or switching preference your setup demands, rather than being locked into a single head-and-tail pairing.
The body is CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished in Cerakote over hard coat anodizing — a layered approach that adds chemical and abrasion resistance on top of the base anodize. The Cerakote FDE color matches Arisaka’s standard finish designation. Two Buna-N O-rings are included — a #19 and a #15 — for sealing when assembling your chosen head and tailcap. Light head, tailcap, mounting screws, and clamp are not included. Made in the U.S.A.
