Description
The Arisaka Defense 300 Series Light Body is built for shooters who run a SureFire Scout Light M300 and want tighter clearance around their front sight. The stock M300 body includes a Picatinny clamp interface that adds bulk where it meets the rail, and that geometry creates a conflict on handguards with 45-degree mounting surfaces adjacent to the top rail. By machining the body without that clamp interface, Arisaka eliminates the obstruction entirely, making the 300 Series Light Body the right choice when pairing with the Arisaka Inline Scout Mount on that specific rail geometry.
The body is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished with MIL-A-8625 Type III hard coat anodize on the exterior. Threads and interior surfaces receive a MIL-DTL-5541 Type II Class 3 chemical conversion coating, which resists corrosion in areas where anodizing alone is impractical. Buna-N O-rings are included for sealing. Despite shedding the clamp boss, the body retains the square lug and mounting holes on the underside, so it seats correctly in any aftermarket Scout mount designed for the M300 footprint.
This is a body only — no tailcap, light head, or mounting hardware is included. It accepts standard M300-series tailcaps and heads, including the KM1E, KE1A, and KX1A, and IR heads are fully supported. That compatibility also makes it practical to build a complete light from third-party components. Arisaka specifically pairs it with the Malkoff E1T head, which offers a higher lumen output and a more generous spill pattern than the stock M300B head while keeping the overall package compact. Made in the USA.
