Description
The BCM Gunfighter Mod 3 is a pistol grip designed around how the AR-15 is actually shot today. When the M16 entered service, doctrine called for a bladed stance with the firing-side elbow extended outward — a geometry that shaped the original grip angle. Modern fighting techniques square the shooter to the target instead, and that shift demands a different relationship between the hand and the bore axis. The Mod 3’s reduced grip angle accommodates that squared stance by placing the wrist in a more neutral position, which reduces the muscular effort required to keep the muzzle on target during extended strings of fire.
Compared to the BCM Gunfighter Mod 0 and Mod 1, the Mod 3 runs up to a quarter-inch wider through the body, giving the palm more contact area and distributing grip pressure more evenly. A high-rise beavertail back strap fills the web of the hand higher than a standard grip profile, and an extended forward tang bridges the gap that typically opens between the grip frame and the trigger guard on mil-spec lowers — a gap that can snag gloves or catch debris. The texture is aggressive enough to maintain purchase without becoming abrasive over a long range session.
Inside the grip, a hinged trap door opens to a storage compartment sealed with a water-resistant rubber gasket — useful for spare batteries, a spare firing pin, or anything small you want close at hand. Each grip is test-fitted before it leaves the factory. Construction is high-strength, impact-resistant polymer throughout. Made in the USA.
