Description

The Blue Force Gear Vickers Standard AK Sling in MultiCam Black is built around the needs of AK-pattern rifle shooters who want a two-point sling capable of fast length adjustment under real conditions. The design comes out of a collaboration with Larry Vickers, a career special operations soldier with extensive AK experience, which shaped the sling’s geometry and attachment points specifically around how AK rifles are carried and transitioned rather than adapting a generic sling to the platform.

The adjuster is molded acetal rather than metal, which matters for two reasons: acetal runs smoothly against webbing without the friction spikes that can make metal hardware feel grabby under load, and it eliminates the noise and cold-weather conductivity that come with steel or aluminum hardware. The result is a pull-tab adjustment that moves quickly with one hand while you still have a firing grip, which is the core functional requirement for any sling used in dynamic situations rather than just for carry.

MultiCam Black is a subdued, low-contrast treatment of the MultiCam pattern designed for environments where the full-color version would read too visually busy or where a near-monochrome profile is preferable. It integrates with the webbing rather than being an afterthought coating. Blue Force Gear constructs their slings from high-tenacity nylon webbing, which holds its width and stiffness over time instead of going limp and folding on itself the way lower-grade webbing does — a detail that directly affects how consistently the sling routes through attachment hardware.

This is a purpose-built AK sling, not a universal design with an adapter. If you run an AK-pattern rifle as a primary, that specificity is the point.
