Description

The Bushnell RXU-200 is built for optics-ready compact and micro-compact pistols — the kind of carry guns where profile and weight actually matter. It fits anything running the SHIELD RMS or RMSc mounting footprint, which covers a broad range of popular optics-ready pistols including the Glock 43, S&W Shield, and Springfield Hellcat, without needing an adapter plate.

The “ultra-compact” designation has a specific meaning here. Compared to the RXC-200, the RXU-200 uses a shorter lens and chassis that brings overall height down to 19.5mm versus the RXC-200’s 23.5mm. On a carry pistol, that lower profile reduces snag points and keeps the sight closer to the bore axis, which helps holster compatibility and simplifies deep concealment.

The 6 MOA dot is intentionally on the larger side. At close to moderate defensive distances, a larger dot is faster to find under stress, particularly in lower-light conditions. It is not ideal for precise target shooting at distance, but for the application this optic is designed around, the tradeoff is sensible. Dot brightness adjusts automatically to ambient conditions, which also means the optic draws less power when holstered or stored — a practical benefit given that there is no auto-shutoff to fall back on.

The chassis is machined from 7075-T6 billet aluminum and meets MIL-STD-810 standards for both vibration and impact, along with an IPX7 waterproof rating. The CR2032 battery is rated for over 50,000 hours at a mid-range brightness setting. The external surface carries Bushnell’s EXO Barrier hydrophobic coating, which helps shed water and resist fouling on the lens. There are no protruding buttons — windage and elevation adjustments are recessed and accessible without removing the optic from the pistol.
