Description
The EOTech XPS3-0 is a holographic weapon sight built for shooters who run a magnifier, night vision, or backup iron sights alongside their optic and need to conserve rail space to do it. Unlike the EXPS series, the XPS3 moves the battery compartment to the side of the housing rather than forward of it, which shortens the footprint and frees up roughly an inch of rail behind the sight — enough to matter when you are stacking a magnifier or AN/PVS-14 monocular behind it.
The reticle is a 1 MOA center dot surrounded by a 68 MOA outer ring. The ring lets you orient quickly at close range without hunting for the dot, while the fine dot gives you the precision to work at distance once you have a moment to settle. That combination suits a patrol carbine or competition rifle where targets appear at varying distances and transition speed matters. The sight operates at 1x with unlimited eye relief, so both-eyes-open shooting is natural rather than forced.
Power comes from a single CR123 lithium battery, and the sight runs approximately 600 continuous hours at the nominal brightness setting. Thirty brightness levels span an extreme range, with ten of those dedicated to night vision use — the sight is directly compatible with standard night vision devices without any additional adapter. Auto-shutoff is set at eight hours from the factory and can be reprogrammed to four. The housing is submersible to 33 feet, and the internal optics are sealed against fogging. Made in the USA.
