Description

The KAK Industry Enhanced 9mm Bolt Carrier Group is built for AR-9 pistol caliber carbine builds where reliable cycling matters more than cutting costs on internals. KAK designed this around compatibility with both Colt and Glock style magazine setups, so it serves the two most common lower receiver platforms without requiring a dedicated BCG for each.

The carrier itself is machined from 8620 alloy steel, a material chosen for its toughness and its ability to hold up under the higher round counts that pistol caliber platforms tend to see. A steel weighted carrier helps manage the cycling dynamics of a blowback-operated 9mm AR, where controlling bolt velocity matters for reliable lockup and feeding. The gas key is precision-machined from 4130 steel, and the firing pin is 8740 steel — both selected for their strength under repeated impact and their resistance to deformation over time.

The nitride black finish is applied across the assembly to reduce surface friction and provide corrosion resistance without adding meaningful thickness, which keeps tolerances consistent. Nitride also holds up better than a simple phosphate finish under sustained heat and fouling, which is worth considering on a platform used for high-volume practice with pistol ammunition.
