Installation is straightforward: pull the 5.56 bolt carrier group, drop the Bravo unit in its place, and the rifle is ready to feed .22 LR. No additional gunsmithing, no permanent modification to the host firearm.

The kit ships with three 25-round magazines, so you can cycle through a reasonable amount of ammunition before pausing to reload — useful both at the range and for extended dry-practice sessions where realistic capacity matters. Each magazine is purpose-built for the conversion rather than adapted from an unrelated platform, which keeps feeding consistent with the geometry of the conversion unit.

CMMG recommends pairing this kit with a round-style hammer rather than a notched hammer, since the notched profile can interfere with reliable function. Hollow points and some high-velocity loads may behave differently, so it’s worth running a familiarization session with your chosen load before committing to it. Shooters running .223 Wylde chambers should also be aware that CMMG does not guarantee fit or function in that chamber, as it falls outside mil-spec dimensions.
