Description

The Banshee MK4 in .300 AAC Blackout is built around the compact pistol role: a short, direct-impingement AR-platform that handles both supersonic and subsonic .300 BLK loads without adjustment. Direct impingement at this barrel length runs a shorter dwell time than a carbine-length system would, which tends to produce a snappier but manageable impulse — the tradeoff for keeping the overall package tight. CMMG fits their Zeroed Linear Compensator to channel that gas forward and flatten muzzle rise, which matters more on a pistol-length build than it would on a longer host.

The barrel is Chrome Moly Steel with a Black Nitride finish, which resists corrosion and wear without the added cost of stainless and holds up well to the higher carbon fouling that .300 BLK subsonic loads can deposit. The receiver is machined aluminum with a Black Armor Cerakote finish. The EML 7-inch M-LOK handguard leaves the top rail free for optics — the platform ships optics-ready with no iron sights installed, so pairing it with a red dot or low-power variable is the expected path. The ambidextrous safety is a practical inclusion on a pistol format where one-handed manipulations are more likely. CMMG’s 6-Position RipBrace adjusts length of pull across a meaningful range, accommodating different shooting positions and body armor setups. The Zeroed Drop-In single-stage trigger is factory-installed rather than carried over from a standard lower parts kit, giving a more consistent break out of the box. Capacity is handled by a single 30-round magazine.
