Description

The CMMG Dissent MK4 in .300 AAC Blackout is built for shooters who want a genuinely compact AR-platform pistol without giving up the mechanical reliability of a conventional gas-operated system. The key to keeping things short is CMMG’s Rearward Charging System, which eliminates the traditional buffer tube entirely and replaces it with a recoil mechanism contained within the lower receiver. That lets the rear of the firearm terminate at a 1913 Picatinny rail end plate, so a folding brace or stock can be mounted without any tube extending behind it — a meaningful difference in how the platform stores and handles.

.300 Blackout is one of the few centerfire cartridges that develops close to full velocity through a 10.5-inch barrel, which is part of why it was designed with short-barreled platforms in mind. The pairing here is deliberate, not a compromise. An adjustable gas block lets you tune the system for both supersonic and subsonic loads — subsonic ammunition, which is common in suppressed applications, often requires a different gas setting than full-power loads, and having that adjustment built in means you are not locked into one class of ammunition. The barrel is threaded 5/8×24 to accept standard .30-caliber muzzle devices or a suppressor.

The trigger is a TriggerTech AR-D two-stage unit developed specifically for use in Dissent-pattern receivers. The handguard is a free-float M-LOK design, which both removes contact between the handguard and the barrel for consistency and gives you unobstructed rail space on all four sides. Construction throughout uses 7075-T6 aluminum, and the Midnight Bronze Cerakote finish is applied over the complete assembly. Two 30-round magazines are included.
