The CMMG Resolute MK47 is built for shooters who want the ergonomics and modularity of an AR platform without giving up the 7.62x39mm cartridge. That combination makes it a practical choice for hunting medium game at moderate ranges, general-purpose carbine work, or anyone who simply prefers the ballistic character of the Russian round over the more common 5.56. CMMG achieves this by using their PowerBolt technology, which adapts the direct impingement operating system to feed and extract a rimmed-base cartridge reliably — a non-trivial engineering problem that earlier AR-pattern AK conversions handled less cleanly. The result is a rifle that accepts most conventional AK-pattern magazines while retaining AR15 fire controls, the bolt release, and the charging handle geometry that AR shooters already know.

The barrel is cut from 4140 chrome moly steel and finished with a salt bath nitride treatment, which hardens the bore and exterior surface against corrosion without requiring the heavier wall stock of a chrome-lined tube. The mid-length gas system bleeds propellant gas from further down the barrel than a carbine-length port, which reduces the peak pressure spike at the bolt carrier and generally produces a softer, more linear push than a shorter system running the same ammunition. The 1:10-inch twist rate stabilizes the range of bullet weights most commonly loaded in 7.62x39mm, from lighter varmint projectiles up through standard 123-grain loads, without demanding the heavier projectiles a faster twist would favor. The threaded muzzle wears a Zeroed SV muzzle brake, and the CMMG EML15 M-LOK handguard gives a free-float mounting surface for lights, bipods, or a sling attachment without adding unnecessary bulk. The CMMG RipStock and Zeroed pistol grip round out a package that ships ready to run without requiring immediate parts replacement.
