The wrap is built from two layers of Squadron material that are laminated together rather than stitched at the edges. That construction keeps the profile low and prevents the layers from separating or bunching under sustained heat. Squadron is the same material Cole-TAC uses across several of their suppressor covers — it is chosen for its thermal resistance and durability under repeated heating and cooling cycles, not for weight savings or appearance. The no-slots configuration gives you a continuous, uninterrupted surface, which distributes heat more evenly across the wrap rather than concentrating it at the edges of any cutouts.

At 6.5 inches long, the wrap covers the section of the handguard where a shooter’s support hand naturally rests without extending so far forward that it interferes with a vertical grip or hand stop. Installation is straightforward and does not require removing any hardware from the rifle.
