Description
The EOTech EFLX is a compact reflex sight built for pistols first, though it transitions cleanly to rifles when used as a 1X solution alongside a magnified optic. The Flat Dark Earth finish suits shooters who carry suppressed or coordinate gear across a common color scheme, and the aluminum housing keeps weight low without sacrificing the structural durability that holster draw and slide cycling demand.
The base is cut to the Leupold Delta Point Pro footprint, which means it drops directly onto any slide already milled for that pattern, or onto a rear dovetail adapter — no additional machining required if your pistol is already prepared. That footprint decision also reflects EOTech’s intent for this sight: it is sized and proportioned for handgun use, where a large, square viewing window helps a shooter acquire the dot quickly under stress rather than hunting for a small aperture.
A 6 MOA dot is the right choice for pistol distances and for shooters who want fast target acquisition over precise holdover. At typical defensive or duty ranges, a larger dot is simply easier to find in a compressed draw, whereas a 3 MOA dot rewards slower, more deliberate precision shooting. The tradeoff is that the 6 MOA dot will obscure more of a small target at extended range — a meaningful consideration on a rifle but rarely relevant on a handgun.
Nine brightness settings cover the full range from low-light indoor use through direct daylight, with one setting dedicated to compatibility with Generation I through III+ night vision devices. Battery life runs to approximately 20,000 hours from a single top-loading CR2032 cell, and top-loading access means the sight stays mounted while you replace it. Assembled in the United States.
