Description

The EOTech EXPS3-1 is built for shooters who want a holographic sight optimized for magnifier use or night-vision-equipped setups without the visual clutter of a large ring reticle. Where the standard EXPS3-0 presents the familiar 68 MOA ring surrounding a center dot, this variant strips that ring away entirely, leaving only the single 1 MOA center dot. That matters when you are running a magnifier behind the optic, because the ring can feel overwhelming at elevated magnification; the dot alone gives you a cleaner, less obstructed sight picture at any power level.

The EXPS series mounts at lower-third co-witness height, which positions the sight line slightly above your backup iron sights rather than directly on top of them. This keeps the irons available without cluttering the field of view during normal use. The integrated quick-detach lever lets you remove or reinstall the optic on a Picatinny rail without tools, and the design is consistent enough that returning to zero after removal is reliable for a lever-based mount.

Brightness is handled through 20 daylight settings plus 10 dedicated night-vision settings, adjusted by switches on the body of the optic. The separate NV mode switch drops intensity immediately into a range the sensor in your nods can handle without blooming — you are not just stepping down through the daylight scale. The optic runs on a single CR123 battery and delivers approximately 1,000 hours of continuous use at the nominal brightness setting. The housing is aluminum, and the sight is water resistant to 33 feet.
