Description
The EOTech Vudu 3.5-18×50 FFP is built for precision long-range shooting where a single reticle must serve reliably across the full magnification range. Because the MD1-MRAD reticle sits on the first focal plane, its subtension markings stay true at every power setting — hold-overs, ranging, and wind calls made at 6x are just as accurate as those made at 18x, without any mental conversion. That consistency matters when conditions change mid-stage or when a shooter is dialing quickly under time pressure.
The turrets use EOTech’s EZ Chek zero-stop design, which allows a shooter to run the elevation dial through its full travel and return to a known zero with a positive mechanical stop rather than counting clicks or relying on memory. A side-mounted parallax adjustment lets you clear focus at distance without breaking your firing position, which becomes increasingly important as target size shrinks and distances extend. Push-button illumination controls offer selectable brightness levels, and the reticle will shut itself off automatically after roughly two hours without input — useful for preserving battery life during a long day in the field without requiring manual shutdown discipline. The 34mm main tube provides a wider internal adjustment range than a 30mm tube, giving the turrets more room to work before reaching their mechanical limits, which is a practical advantage when dialing for extended range or correcting for significant cant in a mounting system.
At just under fifteen inches and weighing in above two pounds, this is a purpose-built precision optic rather than a lightweight hunting scope. It suits a dedicated long-range rifle where glass quality and mechanical repeatability take priority over minimizing carry weight.
