Description
The EOTech EXPS2-0 in Tan is a holographic weapon sight built for shooters who want a fast, parallax-free aiming solution on a rifle or carbine. Where a conventional red dot projects a single point of light onto a lens, a holographic sight uses a laser transmission hologram recorded inside the window itself, which means the reticle appears to float at the target plane rather than at the optic. The practical result is that your eye does not need to be centered behind the glass to see an accurate aiming point — useful any time you are shooting from an unconventional position or under physical stress.
The 68 MOA ring gives you a wide, fast reference for close-range work: you find the ring first, then drop your attention to the 1 MOA center dot for any shot where precision matters. That combination works across a wide range of engagement distances without forcing you to switch reticle modes. The 1x magnification means the image is unmagnified, so both-eyes-open shooting is natural and situational awareness is not compromised.
The Tan finish is EOTech’s designation for the flat dark earth color variant of this housing. The side-mounted buttons keep the control profile low and compatible with magnifiers mounted directly behind the sight. The quick-detach lever allows the optic to be removed and returned to a rail without tools, and the single-lever design keeps the mounting footprint shorter than the older dual-lever EXPS3 series, freeing rail space for a gas block or accessory. Power comes from a CR123A battery, which is a common lithium format with a long shelf life and consistent voltage across a wide temperature range.
