Description

The EOTech HHS IX pairs the EXPS3-DCR holographic sight with the G45 magnifier into a single, purpose-built system for shooters who need to move between close-quarters work and mid-range target identification without swapping optics. The core logic of the setup is the flip-to-side mount on the G45: at a moment’s notice, the magnifier pivots clear and the holographic sight runs at 1x, giving an unobstructed, both-eyes-open view for near-range work. Swing the G45 back in line and you have 5x magnification — the highest in EOTech’s compact magnifier line — which is enough to positively identify targets and read holds at distances where 1x gives you nothing useful.

The EXPS3-DCR is built around EOTech’s Danger Close Reticle, which is designed specifically for rapid target acquisition in environments where engagements happen at compressed distances and speed of presentation matters more than a precise hold. Holographic sights project the reticle at an optical infinity rather than onto a glass surface, which means parallax error is minimal across a wide range of eye positions — practically useful when you’re moving, off-angle, or shooting from behind cover. The system is night-vision compatible, so the EXPS3-DCR’s brightness settings extend below what the unaided eye can use, allowing it to run alongside night-vision devices without washing out the image.
