Description
The EOTech Vudu 3-9×32 SFP package is built around a straightforward premise: put a capable, compact riflescope on a hunting or general-purpose rifle without adding unnecessary bulk or complexity. The ultra-short tube design keeps the overall footprint small enough to work comfortably on carbine-length platforms where a longer scope would crowd the receiver or complicate a co-witness setup.
Sitting on the second focal plane means the MR5 reticle holds its subtension values at a fixed magnification — typically the highest — so ranging and holdover calls are consistent as long as you know which power you’re dialing. For hunters and field shooters who spend most of their time within a predictable range band, that’s a practical trade-off that keeps the reticle fine and uncluttered at lower power settings when you just need to find a target quickly.
The MR5 reticle itself is illuminated with ten brightness settings, which lets you tune it to ambient light conditions rather than relying on a single fixed brightness that can wash out in direct sun or overpower a low-light background. Capped turrets protect adjustments during field carry; you’re not running a target turret here, which is the right call for a scope in this role.
The package bundles an EFLX 3 MOA red dot sight with an integrated mount, giving you a dedicated close-quarters optic that co-mounts with the Vudu rather than competing for rail space. That pairing addresses the one genuine limitation of a 3-9x magnification range: there’s a lower bound on how fast you can acquire a nearby target through a riflescope under stress. The EFLX covers that gap without requiring a separate mounting solution.
The finish is Flat Dark Earth tan, and the scope is rated fog, water, and shock resistant with aircraft-grade aluminum construction.
