Description
The Vudu 4-12×36 FFP is built for shooters who need a compact, capable riflescope that performs equally well at close and extended range without sacrificing precision at any point on the magnification ring. The first focal plane design is the core reason to choose this optic: because the reticle scales with the image as you move through the magnification range, the MR5 subtension marks remain accurate at 4x just as they are at 12x. That means you can range a target, hold for wind, or apply a ballistic correction at whatever power you happen to be running — you never have to be at a specific magnification setting before the reticle math works.
The housing is machined from aircraft-grade aluminum as a single piece, which removes the weak points that come with multi-section construction and keeps the overall length to 7.1 inches — a meaningful reduction in rail real estate on shorter rifles. Nitrogen purging and O-ring sealing address fogging and moisture intrusion across the full operating temperature range, not just at moderate conditions. The turrets use capped, 0.1 MRAD click adjustments, a value well suited to precision work at distance where finer corrections matter. The illuminated MR5 reticle is driven by a single CR2032 battery rated for roughly 300 hours of use, with ten brightness steps selectable through a rotary dial. The integrated base is also compatible with most aftermarket mini-ACOG mounts, giving you flexibility in how you mount the optic without requiring a proprietary solution.
