Description

The Geissele 2 Stage G2S is built for shooters who want a genuine two-stage trigger without paying for features they will never use. It targets the law enforcement officer, hunter, or serious hobbyist who needs predictable, repeatable trigger control in a combat-duty package rather than a precision benchrest setup.

The two-stage design separates the trigger pull into a deliberate first stage and a cleaner second stage. That separation lets a shooter preload to the wall under stress and then break the shot without disturbing the sight picture — a meaningful advantage over a single-stage trigger when targets are moving or time is short. The first stage accounts for 2.5 lb of the 4.5 lb total pull weight, leaving a 2.0 lb second stage that is firm enough to prevent unintended discharge but light enough for precise work. Because the pull weights are fixed rather than user-adjustable, there is nothing to drift out of spec in the field.

Geissele cut costs relative to their Super Semi-Automatic (SSA) by changing the method for retaining the hammer pin, omitting laser engraving, and moving to spot-checking rather than full magnetic particle inspection of parts. The trigger and hammer are machined from the same tool steel as the SSA, so the material basis for durability and surface hardness is not a compromise. The bow is an M4-profile curve and the pin diameter is standard mil-spec, meaning it drops into any AR-15 or AR-10 lower without fitting work. Trigger pins are included. The G2S is not compatible with the SIG MPX or MCX platforms.
