The Geissele Super Precision mount is built for shooters who need their optic to return to the same zero after being removed and reinstalled—and who want that confidence backed by construction rather than by hope. Geissele machines the base from a single billet of 7075-T6 aluminum, which means the ring locations, rail interface, and structural ribs all share a continuous grain structure. There are no bonded or pinned joints to introduce flex under recoil or to shift when torque is applied unevenly.
The clamping system is an updated version of the traditional nut-and-bolt approach rather than a lever-cam design. Levers are convenient, but the clamping force they generate is limited by the mechanical advantage of the cam geometry and the friction of the interface. Each nut-and-bolt pair on the Super Precision delivers 1,400 pounds of clamping force, which keeps the mount from walking on the rail under sustained fire or hard use. The mounting surface spans seven Picatinny sections and is indexed by four shear lugs, so the load from recoil is distributed across the rail rather than carried entirely by the clamping bolts.
The Type 3 hardcoat anodize is the harder of the two common anodize classes and resists abrasion better than Type 2, which matters on a mount that will be installed and removed repeatedly. The 34mm tube diameter accommodates the larger main tubes found on many modern long-range and LPVO optics, and the 0 MOA cant means your elevation adjustment starts centered in its travel—a practical advantage when the scope itself carries built-in cant or when the shooter wants to retain full elevation range without an angled base.
