Description

The Lantac Dragon DGN338B-DAX is built for .30 caliber rifles running the Dead Air XENO ecosystem, giving suppressor-ready shooters a muzzle brake that integrates directly with the XENO HUB mount without voiding their suppressor warranty. That licensing arrangement matters in practice: it means the brake was designed alongside the mounting standard rather than adapted to fit it, so the interface is purpose-built rather than a workaround.

The brake operates on Lantac’s patented Short Energy Pulse system, which addresses a specific problem in rapid fire. Standard muzzle brakes redirect gas to reduce peak recoil force, but the Dragon is designed to shorten the duration of the recoil impulse itself. A shorter impulse means the rifle settles back on target before the energy from the next round compounds it, which is the difference between managing recoil shot by shot and letting it stack across a string of fire.

Construction starts with AISI 4150 steel hardened to 48–52 Rc, then finished with a QPQ Nitride process performed to AMS2753D standards. QPQ creates a surface conversion rather than a coating, so there is no meaningful dimensional change at the bore or threads, and the corrosion resistance is integral to the material rather than dependent on a surface layer staying intact. The brake ships with a timing shim set for correct clocking during installation. Lantac recommends Rocksett thread locker for final installation, sold separately. Each unit carries a serial number for quality traceability.
