Description
The Lantac Dragon DGN762B-DAX is a muzzle brake built for .308/7.62 NATO shooters who want meaningful recoil control rather than marginal gains. Its patented Short Energy Pulse system works by compressing the recoil impulse itself — shortening the duration so that the energy from one shot clears the shooter’s sight picture before the next round fires. The practical result is that follow-up shots stay on target rather than chasing the muzzle back down between each trigger pull, which matters most during rapid strings or sustained fire.
The brake is machined on Swiss lathes from AISI4150 steel, then hardened to 48–52 Rc and treated to a QPQ (Quench Polish Quench) nitride finish conforming to AMS2753D. That process drives nitrogen into the surface of the steel rather than simply coating it, producing corrosion resistance and surface hardness that holds up under the heat and fouling a hard-use .308 generates. The brake is serial numbered for individual quality traceability.
The DGN762B-DAX is specifically designed around the Dead Air XENO hub interface, meaning it functions as a standalone brake and as a suppressor mount adapter in one unit. The XENO mount design is fully licensed from Dead Air, so running a compatible Dead Air suppressor on this brake does not affect the suppressor’s warranty. Timing shims are included so the brake can be clocked correctly for gas port alignment. Lantac recommends Rocksett thread locker for final installation. Made in the USA.
