Description

The Lantac Lamprey Plan B Long Flash Hider is a muzzle device built for shooters who want meaningful flash suppression on a 5.56 NATO or .223 Rem rifle, with the option to mount a compatible suppressor quickly when the situation calls for it. It is not a compromise between two functions — the geometry does real work in both roles.

The four-tine structure that gives the Lamprey its name is the core of that flash suppression. Each tine intercepts and disperses combustion gases at the muzzle, breaking them up and allowing them to cool before they ignite in the open air. The result is a measurably shorter and dimmer flash signature, which matters during low-light shooting where a bright muzzle blast can temporarily degrade your own vision between shots.

The Plan B designation refers to the hub system built into the device. The 1/2×28 thread interfaces with the barrel, while the forward end transitions to Lantac’s Plan B mount geometry. A suppressor or other Plan B-compatible accessory locks onto that mount without tools, making the transition between bare muzzle device and suppressed configurations faster than a traditional thread-on arrangement. The long variant extends the overall length of the device compared to the standard Lamprey, which can be relevant when fitting a suppressor to a shorter barrel where overall length figures into your build.
