Description
The MOE-K was built around a specific problem: standard pistol grips feel awkward on short-length-of-pull rifles because the more reclined grip angle places the firing hand at an uncomfortable angle when it’s pulled in close to the body. Magpul addressed this by steepening the grip angle to 20 degrees, which is notably more vertical than a standard A2 grip. On a compact or PDW-configured AR, that geometry lets the wrist sit in a more natural position rather than canting outward under load.
Beyond angle, the grip’s cross-section is deliberately narrow. The absence of a pronounced beavertail and the reduced overall thickness mean shooters with smaller hands, or anyone who simply prefers a trim grip, aren’t fighting excess material to get a consistent purchase. That narrower profile isn’t just about comfort — it also makes consistent hand placement easier to repeat under stress. The Trapezoidal Surface Projection texture, applied across the grip body along with front and backstrap ridges, keeps the hand indexed even when wet or gloved.
Construction is one-piece Magpul polymer, which resists the flex and creak that can develop in segmented or hardware-intensive grip designs. Installation is straightforward and follows the standard AR pistol grip mounting pattern, so no fitting or modification is required. The grip also fits most AR10/SR25-pattern rifles chambered in 7.62 NATO, broadening its usefulness beyond the standard 5.56 platform. Hardware is included. Made in the USA.
