Description

The MOE SL-S is Magpul’s answer to a specific problem: shooters who want the slim, low-profile handling of the MOE SL carbine stock without giving up onboard storage. The “S” designation stands for storage, and that addition is not simply a hollowed-out compartment — each storage tube is sealed with an O-ring rated to remain waterproof to 10 meters, making them genuinely usable for batteries, spare parts, or anything else that needs to stay dry in the field.

The stock rides on mil-spec receiver extensions and uses a leaf-spring tension system to take up any play between the stock and tube. Compared to the original MOE SL, Magpul engineered this system to produce slightly less friction on the extension while still eliminating the slop that plagues looser-fitting carbine stocks. Six length-of-pull positions are available, spanning roughly 10.9 to 14.2 inches, so the fit is adjustable for different body sizes, shooting positions, and gear configurations.

Dual-sided release latches mean the adjustment lever is accessible from either side of the receiver without repositioning your grip. The cheek weld geometry is designed to keep the head upright rather than canted down over the stock — a meaningful consideration when shooting with optics mounted at a standard height. The rubber buttpad is angled and features a rolled toe, a profile that works with plate carriers and soft armor by reducing the tendency of the stock to catch on gear during mounting. An ambidextrous QD sling swivel socket is built into the stock body, eliminating the need for an add-on sling plate. The stock is constructed from reinforced polymer and is finished in OD Green.
